Old Earth (Signed LP with Exclusive Sticker)

**100 Vinyl signed by Rory, and includes a exclusive sticker**

Rory Sweeney defined a new era of his electronic/experimental sound with his sophomore album Old Earth, one of the most anticipated releases of 2025. Old Earth sold out a limited vinyl run in just 2 weeks, landing at no.17 in the Irish charts. Another limited run of the record is being made available to celebrate it's one year anniversary.

The achievement is all the more impressive when you consider it wasn’t released on Spotify or through a label. Beautiful, tense, existential and playful all at once, ‘Old Earth’ is Sweeney at his most dazzling and undefineable.

The album is heavily inspired by Stone Tape Theory, which posits that hosts, hauntings and supernatural phenomena are the result of events being  imprinted into the land. Sweeney uses the memory of the land and his own personal memory to reflect on accelerating tech capitalism, hauntological non places of modern ireland, the irish otherworld and personal moments, playing with anachronism and physical sound.

Old Earth is a reflection on disappearing time and memory in the information age, while trying to reckon with history and the esoteric.

Old Earth was an AOTY pick for Nialler9 (number 4), The Thin Air, District Magazine & the Irish Times, landed Rory as one of the Irish Examiners ‘Ones of Watch in 2026’, praised by CRACK and Wonderland magazine.
